​​Melanie Bateson, or "Mel", grew up in Gippsland before moving to the "Big Smoke" of Melbourne to escape her beautiful yet tiny hometown. She attended Monash University while working in various pubs around the city, supporting herself through her studies.

A keen-eyed customer provided an unexpected opportunity and recruited her into a business role, recognizing her knack for customer service and administration. From there, Mel built a diverse career across several industries—real estate, banking, spare parts, automotive, and education to name a few. She discovered her niche in small businesses, thriving in environments where she could wear multiple hats—writing, setting up tech, and leveraging her versatile skill set to help each business succeed.

Having studied a Bachelor of Arts and obtaining qualifications in Copywriting, SEO Copywriting, Real Estate (Agents Representative Cert), and Banking (FSRA Tier 2 RG146), Mel brings a wealth of experience and a deep understanding of small business needs, no matter the industry.
